Wind and Weather:
Due to its location in the North Aegean, the climate is 2-4 degrees milder compared to that on the south, for instance Kos Island. During spring and fall it may be cold at night, thus you’ll need a sweatshirt or light jacket. The wind here also has its own intensions: according to detailed records from the Lemnos Airport, the wind here blows always from north-northeast (approximately 30 degrees) and relatively even from March to November, as it makes an impression that in the late summer and fall here it blows more often than on the south islands of the Aegean Sea. It reaches an average of 4 to 6 Beauforts. Unlike most spots in the Aegean Sea, the wind speed at Lemnos is highest till 12 a.m. – 1 p.m. and it blows from northeast. Then, it turns from north and falls to 4 Beauforts, but you can still surf 2-3 hours more.
